Below are answers to the most common questions. If you don't find what you need, email us — we read every message.
Yes. Pace is 100% offline. There is no account and no server, and every entry is encrypted on your device (AES-GCM, with the key kept in the iOS Keychain on this device only). Nothing is uploaded or shared.
Logging drinks, weekly goals, your dry-days streak and milestones are free forever — we never put your motivation behind a paywall. "Pace Pro" is a one-time purchase that unlocks Insights (weekly and monthly trends, money and calories saved) and CSV export. There is no subscription.
Open Settings → Restore Purchases (or tap Restore on the Pace Pro screen). Purchases are tied to your Apple ID, so restoring re-unlocks Pace Pro for free.
Yes. In Settings, turn on the app lock to require Face ID (or your passcode) each time you open Pace.
Optionally. Enable Health in Settings and Pace can save the drinks you log to Apple Health, and read your existing entries to stay in sync — all on your device. It's off until you turn it on, and you can revoke access anytime in the Health app.
Because everything is encrypted on this device only — the key never leaves your iPhone and never syncs to iCloud — your log does not transfer automatically. That's the trade-off for true on-device privacy. Use Export (Pace Pro) to save a CSV copy of your data whenever you like.
Open iOS Settings → Pace → Notifications and make sure notifications are allowed. Pace uses only local notifications; they work fully offline.
Pace is a private tracking tool, not medical advice. If drinking is affecting your life, please reach out to a doctor or a local support service — you deserve real support, and Pace is only here to help you notice your own patterns.
