Petalline is a fully offline, on-device journal. Your entries are encrypted with a key that only your device holds, and they never leave your iPhone unless you explicitly export them yourself.
Nothing. Petalline has no account system, no login, and no backend server. Your journal — moods, energy, sleep, tags and notes — is stored only in the app's local database on your device, as encrypted ciphertext.
Each entry's contents are sealed with AES-256-GCM before being written to disk. The encryption key is generated on your device and stored in the iOS Keychain. We have no copy of your key and no way to read your entries.
Petalline contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not use cookies, device identifiers, or any tracking technology, and the app does not use App Tracking Transparency because it tracks nothing. We cannot see how you use the app.
Insights and written reflections are computed entirely on your device. No text or statistics are sent to any server or third-party API.
Petalline offers a single one-time purchase (there is no subscription). All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Petalline never sees or stores your payment details. Purchase validation is handled on-device via Apple's StoreKit. See Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles transactions.
If you enable the daily reminder, Petalline schedules a local notification on your device. It is generated and delivered entirely on-device and never sent through any server.
The optional app lock uses Apple's local authentication on your device. Petalline never receives your Face ID or passcode data.
Petalline does not access Apple Health or HealthKit.
Petalline does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
