PocketAI has no account system and stores none of your data. Your conversations live on your own Mac; the relay that connects your iPhone to your Mac only forwards encrypted traffic and keeps no copy of it.
The short version
PocketAI is a client app that lets you use a coding agent running on your own Mac. There is no PocketAI account and no PocketAI database. Your conversations and files are stored only on your devices — we never store, log, analyze, or sell them.
What we collect
No content, no analytics. PocketAI has no login and no user profiles. We do not store your prompts, the agent's replies, or your file contents. The connection relay we operate (see below) handles only transient routing information (a random device identifier and connection timestamps) needed to link your phone to your Mac.
How your data moves
PocketAI connects to a companion service that you run on your Mac.
By default the connection goes through a relay we operate, over TLS-encrypted links. The relay is a pass-through: it forwards traffic between your phone and your Mac and does not store, log, or inspect your conversation content. On the same network, the app can also connect to your Mac directly without the relay.
Connection details you enter (your Mac's address and an access token) are stored only in the iOS Keychain on your device.
Conversation history is stored on your Mac by the companion service, not by us. Deleting a session removes it there.
Analytics & tracking
PocketAI contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We use no cookies, no advertising identifiers, and no tracking technology. We cannot see how you use the app. A PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy manifest declaring "Data Not Collected" is bundled with the app.
Permissions the app requests
Camera — only to scan a pairing QR code to add your Mac. No images are stored or sent.
Microphone & Speech Recognition — only for optional voice-to-text in the composer. Transcription is performed by Apple's Speech framework, which may use Apple's servers to improve accuracy for mixed-language speech; PocketAI itself never receives, stores, or uploads your audio.
Photos — only when you choose to attach an image to send to your agent. Images go directly to your Mac, not to us.
Local Network — only to reach your Mac's companion service when you connect over the same network.
Your agent and model provider
The actual coding agent runs on your Mac and may use a third-party model provider that you have configured (for example, a CLI coding agent and its associated API or subscription). Any prompts, outputs, and billing are governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy, not by PocketAI. PocketAI is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any such provider.
Children's privacy
PocketAI does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
