PocketAI lets you use a coding agent that runs on your own computer (Mac, Windows via WSL, or Linux) from your iPhone or iPad — chat, run tools, review edits, and approve each sensitive step. The agent runs on your computer; PocketAI is the phone client.
No computer handy? Open Try the offline demo from the app to see how a conversation and a permission prompt work.
Do I need to be on the same Wi-Fi as my computer?
No. The companion connects out to an encrypted relay, so you can reach it over cellular or any Wi-Fi. Same-network direct connections also work.
Does my data go through your servers?
Your conversation is stored only on your own computer. By default traffic is forwarded through an encrypted relay we operate; the relay is a pass-through — it stores, logs, and analyzes nothing.
Is there a subscription?
PocketAI is free to try. Pro can be unlocked with a small monthly plan or a single one-time lifetime purchase — never a forced subscription. Any model/agent usage on your computer is billed by your own provider, not by PocketAI.
Which agents does it work with?
PocketAI is a client for command-line coding agents on your computer, and works with Claude Code and similar CLI agents.
The connection dropped / I can't connect.
Make sure the companion service is still running on your Mac and that you're using the current address (a quick tunnel's address changes when the service restarts). Re-scan the QR code if needed.
